Pamela was born in the North of Lebanon in 1996. She obtained her bachelor degree in the Medical Laboratory Technology from Notre Dame University, Lebanon in 2019. In 2021, she obtained her Master’s degree in Microbiology and Immunology from the American University of Beirut. During her Master she worked in the bacteriology lab of Prof. G. Matar under the supervision of Dr. A. Abou Fayad on extracting novel anti-biofilm agents from unexploited soil and marine microorganisms to inhibit the biofilm formation of pathogenic bacteria colonizing medical devices in the urinary tract. In April 2022, Pamela joined the PhD program at Wetsus institute for water research under the supervision of Dr. M. Cristina Gagliano (Wetsus), Prof. Marthe Walvoort and Prof. Adri Minnaard (RUG). Her research focus is to clean the pipeline surfaces and drinking water distribution systems from biofilms growing on them using amino acid derivatives.
