On April 8, Zeynep gave an online lightning talk at the joined session from the Carbohydrates and Organic Chemistry Divisions at the ACS Spring meeting. She did an excellent job describing how Liubov and she developed a method to produce azidoglucose-containing adhesin proteins.
As of April 1, Marthe is promoted to Associate Professor (in Dutch: adjunct hoogleraar). Many thanks to all past and present members of the Sugar Team for their great science and dedication, and to all mentors that inspired me in this journey.
On March 5, Stella successfully defended her thesis! With a great online defense, she was the first PhD student from the Walvoort group to become doctor. What a great milestone, and well done Stella!
